You may be interested to know that James Dyer is commemmorated on the Horwich Locomotive Works Memorial, Chorley New Road, Horwich, BOLTON
He was listed in the Horwich Chronilce 31 Oct 1914 to be one of over 360 from the Works to have enlisted or re-enlisted: Dyer, J Labourer Reservist Suffolk Regiment 6977
I just looked at your website to see if you had any information to add to our records at Horwich Heritage and have copied the biography Sgt Hope had written

As I coul not seem to attach the photos of the memorial have posted them on Horwich Heritage Facebook page
