Dear all

I would like to take the opportunity to remind you all to the next Brandon Voluntary Forum meeting will take place on  Monday 18th  April between 7pm and 8.30pm at the Flowerpot, Brandon.

We have planned an interesting and informative evening of events including a presentation and question and answer session regarding the place makers report which has looked at the possibility of divesting public services, such as Brandon Library, Brandon Country Park and the Brandon heritage centre.

We will  have an update from Leigh Driver regarding the Brandon 2011 project and how things are moving forward. There will also be a chance to hear from a couple of new community groups that are just about to launch new initiatives in Brandon, this will be a chance for other groups to give any advice or information they think may help.

Also the Brandon Voluntary Forum are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a Volunteer Fayre on the morning of Saturday 21st May 2011, 10am to 1pm on the Market Square, Brandon. This will be on a Market day so an ideal opportunity to promote what your organisation does, and to recruit new volunteers. We are keen to encourage groups to not just have a stand and provide information on their group but to consider organising activities to showcase the fun aspects to getting involved as a volunteer.

So far interest from big organisation has been really good, however we want this to be an event that helps Brandon groups to gain support and promote themselves. If your organisation is interested in taking part in this event please complete the attached booking form. Taking part is free of charge.

Please feel free to pass this email onto anyone that you think might be interested in attending the Brandon voluntary Forum, all are very welcome.....

Best wishes Star

Sarah
